#PAINT SHOP PRO PLUGIN PSP#
This is what I do, I created a folder called Plugins inside my My PSP Files folder and then add that folder location to the places where Paint Shop Pro should look when loading plugins. You can either place the plugin files there or create your own spot for plugins. For example mine lists the plugin location asĬ:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Languages\EN\PlugIns When you do the on the right you'll see where Paint Shop Pro is looking for its plugins. Now as for the plugins open up Paint Shop Pro select File->Preferences->File Locations and select Plugins from the list on the left side of the dialog box that appears. Trying to associate the files never would have done anything so that's actually normal behavior. Secondly, plugins are like mini-programs so Paint Shop Pro doesn't open them it runs them. How do I restore the correct file association if necessary?įirst, don't worry about the file associations. How do I get Tintii to work as a PlugIn in Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3? I have tried uninstalling Tintii and re-installing but the Corel file association remains!

I did a silly thing and left the tick in "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" so now cannot return it to its original association. When I then double clicked this file Corel PSP Pro X3 opened but displayed the message "The specified file cannot be identified as a supported type" and therefore would not open. In an effort to sort this I went back to the tintii.8bf file and changed the association to "Open with" Corel PSP Pro X3 which are listed as being the correct ones on the indii website:Ĭ:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\Languages\EN\PlugInsĬ:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\pluginīut when I check under the Effects Menu in Corel PSP Pro X3 I am met with "No PlugIns loaded" These plugins are created by Corel, or by other software companies, or by the PaintShop Pro developer community. The tintii.8bf and tintii.htb files were placed in the following directories at install. Did you know that there are a number of plugins that can be used with PaintShop Pro If you’re not familiar with plugins, they are simply add-on programs designed to enhance or add extra functionality to your existing software. Have installed and registered a useful utility called Tintii 2.4.0 ~ from, which should run as a Plug In in PSP Pro X3 but I just cannot get it to work.
